What was the highlight of Casa El Carretero Hotel Boutique
Staff was nice but will never return.
The pool was out of service, under construction and I was not told this before I booked. This was my main reason for booking this hotel. I seemed to be the only guest booked into the hotel I am wondering why it was kept open for me if there would be loud construction, dust and debris all day, each day of my trip. I was not impressed with the lack of communication upon booking as I paid the same as anyone else who would stay there with all amenities in tact. The 20% discount was not enough. One night I was totally alone in the entire hotel, not even staff. Since the doors are always locked I couldn't leave, if I did I would have no way to get back in. I took the someone's hotel keys sitting on the kitchen table and went to dinner or else I'd have been locked out !!! I'd like to know where were the other guests (were they notified that the hotel was under construction and nobody else booked) and where was the staff at the hotel that night? As a woman travelling alone I was incredibly upset by this and this is could have been dangerous if I was locked out at night. I returned at around 1 am and still no one noticed I took their keys and no one was around..

Very nice, stylish and good located place
Liked the style of the hotel. It is stylish up to minor details.
The staff is very friendly. Mostly helpful and ready to find solutions. However, one of the ladies only seems to seek problems. E.g. if you need the breakfast 15 minutes earlier, it may first be an insoluble problem and then the other staff comes and suddenly you are welcome to come even half an hour earlier.

Great little hotel in the heart of an amazing neighbourhood.
Great little hotel in the heart of an amazing neighbourhood. The pool was an oasis in the city, which we had to ourselves due to the fact that there are only a few rooms in the hotel. Pool doesn't close which is amazing. Great breakfast, best we've had in Colombia.
It was a little loud at night because of the proximity to a busy animated square and music from next door, but nothing that kept us from sleeping.

Hidden Paradise in Getsemani
Everything is exactly as advertised. Breakfast was great, bed was super comfy, room was spacious & beautifully decorated...rooftop pool was gorgeous and just big enough for a refreshing dip. Place feels very private like a hidden oasis. Staff was extremely accomodating and very helpful!
